    Pregnant Workers' Fairness Act - What's in the Proprosed Regulations?

     

    The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) changed the landscape for employers and employees.  This law now requires an employer to reasonably accommodate employees who experience pregnancy-related complications.  Following on the heels of this law, the EEOC has issued proposed regulations to support and achieve the purpose of the PWFA.  These regulations include features that may surprise some employers – including the temporary suspension of essential job functions, greater enforcement of lactation requirements and covering issues related to abortion, menstruation, and miscarriage.  Join us on September 14, 2023 at 11 a.m., as we discuss the EEOC’s proposed expansion as to what conditions and circumstances qualify for accommodations under the PWFA.
